Invitation to Prayer
You are invited to participate in a prayer vigil for President Obama, Vice President Biden, and the new cabinet for a 90 day period from February 1, 2009 through April 30, 2009. Each participant is asked to devote five minutes a day in prayer. You would pray for the President, Vice President, and each cabinet member by name during that five minute period, and would, ideally, pray at the same time each day. It matters not whether you are Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, or any other faith. You are simply asked to join your spirit of love with the Source of Love in praying.
The prayer may be as simple as: Bless you, Barack Obama; Bless you, Joe Biden; Bless you, Hillary Clinton, etc. Or you may pray for guidance, wisdom, protection, strength, etc. for each one. Some of you may wish to visualize the light of God's love surrounding or infilling each individual. Some research has suggested that the most effective prayer is one for another's well being, leaving it up to God to meet the particular need for that individual. What matters most is our thought of love.

Welcome to this blog site, and thank you for your interest in the 90 day ministry of prayer and love for our President, Vice President, and Cabinet. Additions and corrections are being made to the cabinet list as they occur. It has been suggested by some that we add Michelle, Malia, and Sasha Obama to the prayer list. ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely thing to do. Bless all of you who are participating. I started a bit before the February start date and soon discovered I needed to set an alarm to remind me when to begin.
